How to facilitate cross-border philanthropy to International Geneva?

 

Kristina Preiksaityte - Strategic Partnerships Managers, Nonviolent Peaceforce

Kristina Preiksaityte is the Strategic Partnerships Managers at Nonviolent Peaceforce (NP) – an INGO that provides direct protection to populations experiencing threats of violence. Through Unarmed Civilian Strategies (UCP), NP teams work alongside communities to interrupt cycles of violence, build as well as sustain peace. Kristina was part of the mission start-up team in Ukraine in 2022 and served as the Head of Programming based out of Odesa. She is now based in Geneva, Switzerland.

 

Jean-Frédéric Maraia, Partner, Schellenberg Wittmer

Jean-Frédéric Maraia is a Partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's Geneva office, where he heads the Taxation Group. He advises clients on all tax matters, at both domestic and international levels. He is also a frequent lecturer at the University of Geneva (tax law) and is the co-director of the LL.M. Tax program of the same University.

 

Mara De Monte – Executive Director, Geneva Centre for Philanthropy, UNIGE

Mara De Monte has in-depth knowledge and experience of the philanthropic sector in which she has been active as consultant or donor advisor, providing bespoke support to (U)HNWIs and grant-making foundations. Until July 2019 she was Senior Philanthropy Advisor at the private bank Lombard Odier, facilitating the bank’s and its clients' philanthropic engagements. She previously worked at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Milan, London and Mumbai and later at Dalberg Advisors in New York and Geneva. She is a founding member and president of the board of Mission Zero Academy (MiZA), spin-off of Zero Waste Europe, supporting zero waste and circular economy implementation bottom-up across Europe. Mara holds an MBA from the Columbia Business School.

 

 

Aïssata Traoré, Project Administrator, Swiss Philanthropy Foundation

Now a Project Administrator, Aïssata Traoré first joined Swiss Philanthropy Foundation in January 2020 to complete an internship as part of her Master's degree in Political Science at the University of Geneva. She has held a permanent position at the Foundation since July 2020. Aïssata manages and oversees all activities relating to the "Transnational Giving Europe" network of cross-border donations, as well as managing and monitoring sheltered funds. During her university career, Aïssata was keen to combine study, work and voluntary work in a number of fields. She spent times abroad in Sweden and the United States to further her knowledge, enabling her to combine her studies with work experience.
